Hundreds of thousands of dollars recovered; our report also supported the employee’s prosecution

The Loss

Over more than five years, the employee had submitted falsified expense reports totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Much of the fraud was in mileage entries, which do not necessarily require receipts and are harder to disprove.

The Process

We analyzed the employee’s expense reports to identify the falsified entries, then interviewed him. In a voluntary interview he confessed and admitted to falsifying the reports.

The Results

Our claim report helped the company collect the stolen funds and was also used by law enforcement to prosecute the individual.
